RocketSearch (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") safely protects users' personal information and strictly complies with relevant laws and regulations. This policy applies to users of the website (rocket-search.com) and related services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "Services") and transparently guides what information the Company collects and how it is processed.

1. Items of Personal Information Collected and Methods of Collection

The Company collects only the minimum personal information necessary to provide services and facilitate customer support.

  • Upon sign-up and account creation (Required): Name, email address, password
  • Upon profile setup (Optional): Company name
  • Information automatically collected during service use: Access IP address, cookies, service usage records, access logs
  • Upon payment for paid services: Information necessary for payment is safely processed through our affiliated payment gateway (Eximbay), and the Company does not directly collect or store users' full credit card numbers or financial information.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Company uses the collected personal information only for the following purposes:

  • Service provision and management: Confirmation of intent to register, user identification, account management, customer counseling and complaint handling, delivery of notices
  • Fulfillment of paid services: Purchase and fee payment, settlement, sending invoices
  • Service improvement and statistics: Function improvement through analysis of service use records, development of new services, determination of access frequency, and other statistical uses

3. Consignment of Personal Information Processing

For smooth service provision and system operation, the Company safely consigns the processing of personal information to external professional companies as follows. The consigned companies cannot arbitrarily use the user's data for purposes other than those specified.

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Provision of cloud server infrastructure and data storage
  • Vercel: Web service frontend hosting and operation
  • Eximbay: Payment processing for paid services

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

In principle, the Company does not provide, sell, or rent personal information to outside parties without the user's prior consent, with the following exceptions:

  • When the user has agreed in advance
  • When required by statutory regulations, or when requested by investigative agencies for investigative purposes in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed by laws and regulations

5. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved (e.g., upon membership withdrawal).
However, if there is an obligation to preserve it for a certain period according to relevant laws (e.g., the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.), it will be safely stored for that period and then destroyed.

  • Records related to contracts or cancellation of subscriptions: Preserved for 5 years
  • Records related to payment and supply of goods: Preserved for 5 years
  • Records related to consumer complaints or dispute settlements: Preserved for 3 years

6. Security and Information Protection

The Company applies encrypted communication (SSL) to securely process user's personal information and implements strict internal security policies for data integrity and access control.

7. User Rights and How to Exercise Them

Users can view, correct, or delete (withdraw membership) their personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, please use the settings menu within the service or contact the information below, and we will take action without delay.
